Torridon  and District Playgroup

Torridon & District Playgroup runs every Tuesday morning from 11am to 1.30pm in Torridon Hall, (closing only Christmas and New Year week).
 
The playgroup is run by parents and carers and is open to all pre school children from new born upwards.
 
The playgroup applies for a small grant from CALA each year to meet some of the rent costs but otherwise it is self funded from weekly fees and fundraising events.
 
There are usually around 20 babies and children attend playgroup each week from as far as Lochcarron in one direction and Kinlochewe in the other.
 
The cost is £1.00 for one child and £2.00 for more than one child from the same family. A healthy snack is provided for the children, and tea and biscuits is provided for the adults!
 
Each child brings a packed lunch so all the children can enjoy eating lunch together.
 
Parents and carers are responsible for their own children and everyone plays a part in the general running of the playgroup. Once a month an Outreach Worker from Eden Court Theatre provides art & drama activities for the children. There is also an annual summer trip which in previous years has been to The Black Isle Wildlife Park and Bog Bain Farm in Inverness.
 
Visitors are very welcome to join us at playgroup any Tuesday morning.
